Hi, my name is Tom. I'm an artist at heart - art class was always my favorite subject in school. I loved drawing and expressing my creativity. During junior high, I was also passionate about sports, particularly table tennis. I even won the citywide student tournament in my senior year.

I maintained strong academic performance (B+ average) from high school through college, where I earned a business degree from a public university in Japan. During my junior and senior years, I was active in student government. One of my proudest achievements was serving as Chair of our University Festival Committee in my junior year. We planned and executed a massive five-day festival that's completely student-run, one of the biggest events of our academic year. After graduation, like many others, I entered the workforce. However, maintaining steady employment proved challenging.

I tried various jobs to make a living, but struggled to adapt to traditional corporate culture. The daily routine of wearing a suit and tie, commuting to work, office politics, and spending 9-to-5 doing unfulfilling work felt like psychological torture, especially for someone like me who grew up on a small family farm.

This led me to pursue studies abroad at Pasadena City College in California, where I earned my cosmetology license. While there, I was exposed to computers for the first time - something I had never encountered in Japan. Though computers were still in their early stages, I immediately recognized their incredible potential. This sparked my interest in computer science, leading me to study web design and Photoshop. Eventually, I earned my MCSE 2001 and CompTIA A+ certifications.

I consider myself well-educated and well-rounded, combining traditional Japanese values with a lifelong passion for art. I'm trustworthy, rarely drink, don't use drugs or smoke. My political views are nuanced - conservative on some issues, liberal on others. I firmly believe in treating everyone with respect regardless of their background, race, gender, or beliefs. While the American Dream may seem just that - a dream - I remain committed to pursuing my dreams with everything I have, including my ultimate aspiration of becoming a recognized artist.
